  LAZULI         France

Fomed in 1998, LAZULI comes from the region of Alès. Their music is a mix of progressive rock,

electro and world music.

The French lyrics and atypical music of Lazuli-dreamy and exploratory--take us off the beaten

track with highly unusual instrumentation: marimba, French horn, keyboards, percussion,

drums, guitars, mandolin, vocals...and a unique instrument, the Léode, invented by Claude.

LAZULI sees their songs as canvases, mixing colors, depicting their world--or reimagining it.

Somewhere between Jacques Prévert and Tim Burton, the words question the evils of our

present time. The voice, ethereal and extravagant, full of plays on words, sings about

mankind in all its forms...and deformities. A Lazulian world, a universal language, is waiting

to be discovered when this unconventional group hits the stage to captivate and bewitch the

audience.

Since their remarkable performance at PROG'SUD in 2006, LAZULI has gone on to become

a big success.  In just a few years, the group has become the French ambassadors on

the biggest international progressive rock stages.  Their notes and words have become a

universal language.

Their eigth album should be released by spring and we are obviously very happy to welcome

them back to celebrate the event.  This is going to be a wonderful evening!
